Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is set to undergo season-ending surgery on his injured hamstring Wednesday (November 13), team owner Jerry Jones said during a radio interview (h/t NFL.com.)

Jones said Prescott's "prognosis is wonderful" but confirmed that the quarterback would miss the remainder of the season. Prescott reportedly flew to visit a specialist on Monday (November 11) to see whether the procedure was his best option, sources with knowledge of the situation confirmed to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.

Prescott suffered the hamstring injury during the Cowboys' November 3 loss to the Atlanta Falcons and sources with knowledge of the situation told Rapoport and Pelissero that the injury was "worse than initially feared" last Monday (November 4). Prescott was ruled out with 11:08 remaining in the fourth quarter and seen grimacing on the broadcast replays of a 10-yard completion to Jalen Brooks.

The former Mississippi State standout finished the game with 133 yards and one touchdown 18 of 24 passing, as well as a season-best 30 rushing yards, most of which was recorded on a 22-yard run in the second-quarter, the Cowboys' longest rushing play of the 2024 season. Backup Cooper Rush took over for Prescott in the Falcons game and started in Sunday's (November 10) loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, throwing for 45 yards on 13 of 23 passing.
